The Role

We are looking for a hands-on and driven Warehouse Improvement Manager to join the business on a 3-month fixed-term contract. Working closely with the Operations Manager, this role will focus on enhancing warehouse efficiency by embedding processes, driving consistency, and supporting teams to meet operational KPIs.

This is a highly visible, shop-floor-based role requiring someone who can lead from the front, engage teams, and deliver practical improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Operations Manager to improve day-to-day warehouse performance
  • Embed and standardise processes and operational procedures
  • Support teams in achieving KPIs, productivity, and service targets
  • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, driving engagement and accountability
  • Manage and support team performance through coaching and leadership
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement practical process improvements
  • Support operational change initiatives and wider continuous improvement projects
  • Monitor performance and implement corrective actions where required
  • Promote a safety-first culture across the site
  • Collaborate with internal functions including Customer Service, Purchasing, and Sales

Skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments
  • Hands-on management style with strong shop-floor engagement
  • Experience driving process improvements and operational change
  • Strong people management and performance accountability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience supporting change projects or system/process implementations
  • Practical problem-solver with a proactive approach
  • Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
